30 organized closets to inspire you
For the past month, I've been slowly cleaning out all of our bedroom closets. It feels as if I'm never going to finish. The task at hand has been a bit overwhelming not only because of the amount of stuff (i.e., crap) in our closets but also because we all have been sick in one way or another this past month. To say it's been a challenge is an understatement. However, I love the feeling and satisfaction of clearing out all the stuff we don't need anymore.
A few years ago I read the book, The life-changing magic of tidying up: The Japanese art of decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo. It truly was life changing for me. I recommend that you read the book versus just watching the Netflix show because the book goes into much more detail about how and why Mari Kondo's method works.
However, it's been a struggle to get the rest of the family to convert to the KonMari method. In no way am I pushing for a minimalist lifestyle but eventually we all collect too much stuff.
I almost wet my pants when I saw this tweet the other day! I too may have to resort to extreme measures to get the rest of the family on board. It will be worth it in the end. Who knows maybe the kids will get as much joy out of folding laundry as I do. Just kidding, I still don't enjoy folding laundry, but I do love the results. A girl can dream. Here are a few beautifully organized closets of all shapes and sizes that will hopefully inspire you to clean out and freshen up your own spaces. By the way, try not to drool while looking. Enjoy!
