make a design statement: cover it all the same
The design technique of coving the walls, windows, and furnishings in the same pattern is nothing new. Designers have been doing this for years. Using the same pattern all over can help your room feel unified and calm. This overall effect is best suited for spaces that you want to feel cozier such as a bedroom or a den; however, you really can use it anywhere. You can use both large scale and small scale prints to achieve this design style.
This design technique fell out of fashion in the ’90s and early 2000s but seems to be making a resurgence. I have always loved this design technique and am glad to see it come alive. Is this a design style you think you could embrace or is it one that should be left in the past? Here a few examples I think you will enjoy demonstrating the design technique of covering it all the same. Enjoy!
