orange crush: fall dining rooms
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The air is cooler, the leaves on the trees have changed, and pumpkins are in abundance. It’s almost impossible not to spot the color orange during this time of year.
For me orange is the color of autumn. It radiates warmth and happiness and a sense of general wellness. It’s a combination of both red and yellow. Orange is not as strong or as passionate as red, but it’s still exciting. There are many beautiful variations of the color orange, such as mandarin, pumpkin spice, apricot, tangerine, salmon, persimmon and sunset, to name a few.
Studies have shown orange to boost our emotional strength in difficult times. It helps us to bounce back from disappointments and despair, even assisting in recovery from grief. Orange is welcoming, cheerful, playful, and exotic. Whether or not you use it on your walls, drapes, furniture or little pops of color here and there bring the warmth of this color into your life today.
Here is a collection of inspiring fall dining rooms to help you get started incorporating the color orange into your life.
